If I was a Jewish in Anne Franks time and place, I would feel like it was a life or death situation, (which it was.) I would have to live in a small area for years so that I don't get killed by the Nazis Germans. I couldn't go outside and breath fresh air and live a normal life, I feel bad for Anne Frank. British bombing planes were coming every now and then to take control of Amsterdam to save innocent people. Anne Frank had so much patience, I can't even wait in the lunch line at school when she stayed in part of a small house for years.
BCR: How does this poem symbolize the Jews during The Holocaust and in the Concentration Camps? Use specific details from the poem to support your response.
The poem symbolizes the Jews during the Holocaust and in the concentration camp like when it was saying. "Atop his chair, the Devil rests (Adolf Hitler) /Laughing at the pain of his broken guest." ( That supports the Jews in the concentration camp being tortured.) Another part was when the poem was saying. "You survive on day, in hope for the next /But all his demons love to vex." ( That supports Hitlers soldiers liking to torture and/or kill Jews for no reason.) The poem is a metaphor of the Devil (Hitler) in Hell (concentration camp) torturing the prisoners (Jews) for the fun of it. (genocide)
